Even though it’s made for businesses, this Keurig is shorter than a typical K-Classic, and its two-tone exterior and LCD touchscreen give it a modern look. This $294 machine could improve your office or business space if you want a Keurig.

Price

One of the most costly Keurig machines is the K155 Office Pro, which costs $294. This commercial-grade Keurig is made for use at work, so the price probably won’t go down over time. The K155 Office Pro can only make coffee, tea, and hot cocoa with K-Cup pods.

Depending on the brand name, a 12-pack of K-Cup pods can cost anywhere from $7 to $14. This means that each pod costs between 60 cents and $1.15.

The K155 Office Pro is different because it comes with two sample 6-packs of hot cocoa and coffee. This can save you some money right away.

Features

Given its price, weight, and shiny silver look, the K155 Office Pro is pretty simple. It can make 4-, 6-, 8-, and 10-ounce cups of coffee in less than a minute, but unlike the K-Cafe, K-Elite, K-Slim, and K-Select, it doesn’t have a 12-ounce option. It can’t make shots like the K-Cafe, and it can’t make strong or iced coffee, either.

But it has a 90-ounce water tank, so you won’t have to go back and forth as often to fill it up. It also has a tank inside. If you need to move the machine, you can open a tube on the back to quickly drain the tank.

The K155 Office Pro has an LCD touchscreen menu where customers can tap to choose the size of coffee they want.

By holding the touchscreen for 10 seconds, the owner or anyone who knows how to change the setting could open a special menu of options. You can set the machine’s clock, turn on the auto-off feature, change the machine’s language, and set the brew temperature. Only the K-Elite and the K-Supreme allow you to change the temperature.

Design

The K155 Office Pro is big but not too heavy for a commercial brewer. It’s 14 inches tall, 10.4 inches wide, and 13.9 inches deep, less than the K-Classic. The body is made of silver plastic and looks pretty nice in person. The drip tray is made of stainless steel and looks polished and shiny.

Overall, the K155’s design is simple; you can see the latch and drip tray. Unlike other Keurigs, the only thing that lights up the K155 is its touchscreen. While you wait for their coffee to finish brewing, that touchscreen shows you different ways to brew it and stock photos of fresh coffee beans being picked.

It’s a nice touch that makes up for the lack of a waiting screen with an interesting buffer. The draining part of the machine is held in place by a single screw on the back of the machine, which needs to be removed with a screwdriver.

Then, you can see two tubes you can pull out to drain the inner tank. The top also has a power switch.

The nearly 20 pounds of the machine are probably the worst thing about how it’s made. It was hard to get the machine out of the carton by myself, and once I put it on my counter, I thought it was too heavy to move around.

This is something to think about if you’re thinking about getting this appliance for your office: once you set it down, it might be hard to move quickly.

Performance of the Keurig K155 Office Pro

The Keurig K155 Office Pro may look expensive and high-end, but it can only do the most basic Keurig task: to brew K-Cups. I’m not usually a big fan of K-Cup coffee, but the K-Cafe and K-Slim, which have Keurig’s strong brew and multi stream technologies, showed me that you could make a decent cup of coffee with K-Cups.

But the K155 Office Pro doesn’t have any of these features, and it feels a little too bare-bones for a $300 machine. With this Keurig, you can make 4, 6, 8, or 10 ounces of coffee. The taste isn’t as good as what we’ve had from other machines, but at least it’s always the same.

The K155 Office Pro warms up in about a minute after you turn it on, and all you have to do to choose a drink is tap the screen. This machine caught less than 32 seconds to make each cup of coffee I made. Lack of pressure is one reason Keurigs have trouble making coffee with a strong taste.

For coffee to get crema, which adds flavor, it must go through a certain amount of pressure that Keurig machines can’t do, but Nespresso machines can. The National Coffee Association says that the best cup of coffee is made at a temperature between 195 and 205 degrees Fahrenheit, which the K155 cannot do.

I’ve never made a cup of coffee that was hotter than 182 degrees Fahrenheit. The fact that the K155 can change the temperature worsens this problem. By neglect, the machine brews at 193 degrees Fahrenheit. I only changed it by five degrees, making it 198.

Even after I changed this setting, my next cup of coffee still came out at 179. So, these controls are just not right. Even though the K155 doesn’t taste good and has disappointing temperatures, it has an impressive energy cost.

The machine only used about 124 KWH during its 40-minute use. The most noise it makes when brewing is 65 dB, so it’s quiet.

Easy to Use

The K155 Office Pro replaces a Keurig’s simple button press with a touch screen. Put a K-Cup in the pod compartment, close the latch, and choose the size of coffee you want.

If the water reservoir is empty, which is rare because it can hold 90 ounces of water, you can take it out and fill it up at the sink or fill a pitcher with water and pour it into the top opening of the reservoir.

It’s also easy to use the owner’s menu to change the temperature and set the time. You can tap the options on the screen to switch between them. To turn the machine off at the end of the day, you only have to flip the switch in the top left corner of the back.

Conclusion – Keurig K155 Pro Commercial Coffee Maker Review

The K155 Office Pro is a great Keurig machine for the office, but at $294, it doesn’t seem like a good buy. The K155 can make a cup of coffee in a very short amount of time, and it will look great when it’s done.

This machine is shiny and has a nice, simple design. The touchscreen is a nice, smart addition to a regular Keurig machine.

But the biggest problem with K-Cups is that they don’t taste very good. This could be an excellent addition to your office or commercial space if you like to use K-Cups and want to share an easy-to-maintain machine with many people.

But if you don’t think many people will like the frequently stale taste of pod coffee, don’t buy this machine. It won’t turn anyone who doesn’t like Keurig into a fan. So this concludes the topic for Keurig K155 Pro Commercial Coffee Maker Review.
